Calling all future filmmakers!

Do you have a passion for making films? Do you enjoy being behind the camera? Dive into the world of filmmaking next July or August at our Filmmaking Summer Camp!

Programme Overview

Open to young creatives between 14 to 17 years old, enjoy:

Learn from industry professionals while having the summer of a lifetime. All classes are delivered by Central Film School tutors and cover the following key areas:

The camp is open to young people from the UK and around the world.

Please be advised those taking accommodation should arrive July 20th or August 3rd and depart August 2nd or August 16th.

Selection Criteria

This course would be suitable for students studying a Level 3 course such as a diploma, A Levels, IB or their final years of secondary education.

You must complete an application alongside either a 250 word statement or a link to a short, up to 5 minutes, video answering the following questions; 

  1. Why you would like to study the course?
  2. What do you hope to get out of the course?
  3. Who inspires you in the filmmaking industry and why? 

Funded/Partially funded places are available for students who apply based on the following criteria;

  • Applicants living in a Polar 4 Quintile 1 & 2 postcodes, check your postcode here
  • Applicants in Year 12, or equivalent (college), at the point of application. 
  • Applicants who have been in the care of a Local Authority since the age of 16
  • Applicants who receive free school meals. 
  • Applicants who are Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic
