the best you can have

Central Film School provides students with all the facilities and equipment they’ll need on their learning journey. Depending on the needs of specific shoots and programme modules, students will also have access to off-site facilities and spaces.

Central Film School strongly encourages students to develop their personal projects and allows students to borrow the School’s equipment during and after their studies.

Our Main Campus includes:

Professional Equipment

All student films at the school are shot on professional-grade equipment across both digital and film. Students begin working with the Canon EOS C100, then progress to larger, more demanding cameras like the C300, BlackMagic 4K Cinema Camera, Arri ALEXA and even the ARRI SRIII Super 16mm. Central Film School students train on industry-standard sound and lighting kit and learn the skills necessary to operate as a coordinated crew, both on-set and throughout the production process.

Free access for students to school kit
and studio space for personal projects

Our Studios

At Central Film School we have two professional studios. Studio A is our larger studio, and is also a functional screening theatre with retractable seats and a full-size projector screen. Both studios are fully equipped to become anything the script might call for. Professional rigging and the freedom for students to build any set imaginable has allowed it to become a space station, a fortune-teller’s tent, and a Parisian cafe.

Film Production Budgets are included in all
Undergraduate and Short Courses.
