Language Requirements

To ensure all students can fully participate in our courses, Central Film School requires international applicants whose first language is not English to demonstrate their proficiency. We accept a range of recognised English language qualifications. 

Minimum score requirements vary depending on the programme of study. If you do not currently meet the language requirements, pre-sessional English courses may be an option.

The following countries are classified as majority English-speaking countries, and students from these countries do not need a Secure English Language Test (SELT) for visa purposes.

You will not need a Secure English Language Test (SELT) for visa purposes if you are applying to one of our MAs and have completed your first degree, equivalent to a UK degree, in one of the following majority English-speaking countries:
