We are delighted to announce the launch of our new BA (Hons) Acting for Screen degree from September 2023.
The course offers a unique opportunity to study at Central Film School as part of our continuing commitment to providing top-quality education in film and media. The new programme is a 2-year intensive acting degree, which has been developed with industry experts from across the UK and Ireland.
The course is designed for aspiring actors who want to develop their acting skills in order to pursue a career in film, television or media. It is suitable for those who have prior experience in acting but also for those who haven’t previously considered it as a career option.
The foundation of this course is a thorough grounding in the principles of screen acting. You will learn how to create believable characters and performances, and how to bring them to life on screen.
Throughout the course, you will be introduced to a wide range of theoretical approaches to acting in cinema as well as practical approaches to performance acting, including voice-over work and script analysis. You will also have the opportunity to work with industry professionals, who will share their expertise with you in audition scenarios and workshops.
This course is founded on the premise that to succeed as an actor, performer, or presenter, you need to understand the basics of film and content production. The skills that you develop will enable you to take your career forward in any area where performance is required: theatre, television, radio, film and digital media.
