FAQs
What makes Central Film School London so different to so many other film schools?Virtually everything… but we recommend you visit the school and speak to the students themselves to find out what makes the experience of studying at Central so unique.
For some it is the very small class sizes and the close sense of teamwork this creates, the brand new professional grade facilities and the tuition from a very strong line up of working professionals.
Others here however speak about the energy and atmosphere in the contemporary workspace of the school as the defining characteristic.
However, above all else it is the single-minded commitment to the creation of outstanding work from outstanding students and staff that captures the spirit of Central.
What is included in the fee?Fees are all inclusive (we recommend that you always check the small print when comparing fees with other schools, as sometimes there are additional costs listed there).
We believe that once you have paid for your course, you have paid for your course!
At Central we make no attempt to provide you with the cheapest film training, instead we work to ensure that you receive the best training and the most value for money. This means that you shoot mainly on industry standard equipment ranging from ARRI film cameras to cutting edge HD Solid State technology.
When is the deadline for applications?Students are recommended to apply for a course as early as possible. Due to the limited number of places available on our courses, once a course is filled we close applications for that year. If the course does not have a 'COURSE FULL" notice next to it, then there will still be places available.
Students wishing to apply for courses starting in September 2010 should apply as soon as possible.
Where can I get funding? There is no getting around the fact that going to Film School is, generally, an expensive undertaking. At Central we believe that this is only money well spent if it launches your career in the film industry, which is exactly what our specialist training is designed to do.
