Student Benefits

We provide our students with a friendly, supportive environment with plenty of social activities because we recognize that many of our students are new to life in London and indeed in the UK. Formal social events take place every month but often it is the informal, impromptu nights out or weekend trips away that will lead to our students creating bonds of friendship that are built to last.

Students at the school are actively encouraged to apply the skills they learn to as many films as possible,. At Central Film School London students are provided with free access to all of our professional filmmaking equipment outside of class time, meaning that many additional films are made on evenings, weekends and throughout holiday periods.

Every Night can be movie night...

Thanks to Cineworld, every full-time student at the Central Film School receives a FREE One Year Unlimited Access Movie Pass to any Cineworld cinema in London or the rest of the UK. This means that you can spend as much of your free time as you wish watching movies and probably seeing them with new eyes as you learn more and more of the secrets of professional filmmaking.

Student-Tutor Meetings at BAFTA

Full-time students are also invited to the  private members lounge at BAFTA to discuss their career plans with a leading industry producer.

Residential Location outside of London

All full-time Filmmaking Courses include a residential visit, which are not only great for teambuilding, but reproduce the experience of going off on a location shoot. Students were recently flown to Ireland and wrote a short film around the magnificent stately home of Hilton Park.

New York City

Professional Screen Directing students are flown to New York City for their residential visit to complete one module of their course. The visit to New York City, which is included in the course fee, provides students with an amazing opportunity to learn more about directing and working with actors by studying under some of the most famous acting schools and teachers in the world including:

The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute  where masterlcasses have been given by senior tutors and the Head of School, Mrs. Anna Strasberg herself! 

The Stella Adler School of Acting where classes have been given by world famous master tutor, Patrick Quagliano 

The Atlantic Acting School, founded by David Mamet and William H. Macy, where classes have been given by many leading tutors who developed Practical Aesthetics Technique, including master tutor Scott Zigler.
