Practical Film Producing – 4 days
Every aspect of this course has been designed to teach you how to produce films using established industry practices. All students also receive two A4 lever-arch files filled with up to date information, templates and reference guides used by industry producers.
During this intensive programme you will learn how to raise the finance you need and how to avoid the key mistakes that cost so many new producers (and new independent production companies) hundreds of thousands of pounds every year. You will receive personal advice on how to save money, where to get the best deals and how to maximize on-screen production value.
This course also includes a practical session on Pitching to Agents, Producers and Financiers plus a practical exercise in Scheduling.
The course provides invaluable tuition in the main aspects of the Producer’s role, from breaking down scripts ready to shoot, right through to managing the Post-Production process. The course also covers vital legal considerations from securing the rights to a script through to negotiating an international distribution deal.
