Application Process for Full Time Courses


Due to the demanding nature of our full-time courses places are offered selectively to applicants based on their submission materials and performance at interview. Please note that candidates will only be invited to interview once the required applications materials have been received.

Please read these instructions carefully as they have been designed to make your application
process easier.

Once you have completed your application materials please post materials for all full-time courses to:

Industry Filmmaking Diploma

Required Application Materials

1. Written

One of the following:

a. A short film script or excerpt of a longer script you
have written (2-10 pages)

b. A 1-2 page film critique (of a film of your choice)
demonstrating your passion for cinema and your
current understanding of the medium.

2. Visual

One of the following:

2a. Your showreel on DVD*

2b. A short film (drama or documentary) you have
made/ worked on, on DVD*. Please include
details on your role/s in the production

2c. Portfolio of stills demonstrating your knowledge
of visual storytelling.

3. Current CV

4. Two references with contact details

5. Four passport pictures

6. Application fee (£25, non-refundable)


Applied Screenwriting Award

Required Application Materials

1. Writing sample demonstrating your creative
potential (8-20 pages)

2. Current CV

Advanced Directing Screen Performance

Required Application Materials

1. Your showreel on DVD* and/or other films you
have worked on clearly stating your role/s in each
piece

Payments can be made by credit/ debit card, cheque or BACS transfer.  For more information please refer to the payment details section on the Full-Time Application Form.

We are able to offer financial support to a limited number of students each year in the form of a 50% reduction in course fees.  Bursary students are required to make a positive contribution to the life of the film school in the form of working 10hrs per week in a variety of suitable roles.
If you wish to apply for a financially assisted bursary place on one of our full-time courses please submit an additional letter with your application materials detailing any previous work experience that you think may be relevant to a bursary role.
